Your mother comes in and tells you to go visit your best friend, Rodney, who is waiting for you at the computer in his house for the same reason. The player is sitting in front of his/her computer and is awaiting a reply to see if they have been accepted to be a Pokémon Trainer.
The game starts in Soltree Town in the player's room.
